A heartfelt question

So I'm sort of working on this Haven thing, right? The rewrite. The fabled rewrite. Well, here's my question.
I got bit by the biggest plot bug ever for the, er, sequel to Belong. And I think it's mad cool. There are elements of Haven that clearly need work, but I think I want to write this sequel thing. I have parts of the Haven rewrite already...what if I just posted a few, er, short stories that kind of...fit into the Haven thing....kind of rounded it out....and then...er....well, would anyone be really offended if I wrote the sequel to Belong instead?

I will post *parts* of Haven. New!Haven. There are a few key scenes I can add and I do want to write them. Perhaps just in short story form instead? A few short stories?
Maybe you'll want to know a little about the sequel before you make a decision on this, O reader who might be interested in answering this question. Well. It's Harry/Draco, obviously. They are a couple of years older and down the line a bit, so it's a more, er, established relationship and so forth. Less angsting on that front. But the story also focuses on, er...Ginny.
And also...a surprise guest. Pansy.
The return of Pansy! I've been planning that part out for months! AHAHAHAA! People thought I was trying to get rid of her, but no...I was setting her up for the next part! Pansy as we've never seen her before!
It will begin roughly two years after the end of Belong, and rather than an entire year, *pants*, the story will take place within a single month, because I just can't write a whole year.
This means I won't hold back any smut, of course. (And, to be honest, most of what I want to put in Haven is smut.) We'll get all that. I'll just slide it alongside Haven instead of...entirely replacing it.
