Michael Jackson

I finally saw the Michael Jackson interview, and came away with a few impressions; but the one thing I was most struck by was that I'd forgotten how much I liked Michael Jackson. I really liked him, I still think he's brilliant. Billie Jean, Beat It; I mean, I really feel like Thriller defined a portion of my life. That whole era. He was a good-looking guy at one point, back before all the surgery, and the boy can dance. I mean, he's got such a signature, he's the kind of trend setter who everyone ends up riffing off but few people acknowledge. And now he's a punchline.

I'm appalled at his taste in...everything. What's with all the tacky urns?
