*memory comes rushing back*
Feb. 26th, 2003 12:38 am*scans tab for this song I'm trying to learn*
*tries to remember what C#m, G#m and F#m chords are*
*cries*
Suddenly I remember why I never got around to learning this particular song back in the day when I was good at picking up songs. Good lord. Though I still think The Girl with the Weight of the World in her Hands (badly played by me here) is harder. That one is really, really rough on my left wrist. A lot of weird stretchy half-a-D-half-a-frickin-B chords and stuff. I only recorded that one when I did because I didn't actually remember any of it, it just sort of spilled out one day. I had to just ignore my hands in order to play it, cause if I thought about it would just fall apart. And it really, really hurt to play that song too, because I had NO callouses at all when I recorded it. Which explains why at the end it just goes plunk plunk. Well, it goes plunk plunk through the whole song, actually.
For any other wandering Indigo Girls fans out there, I've got Love's Recovery down but I'd be happier if I could do two track recording and do the harmony part, same with You and me of the 10,000 wars. I need to know more people who can sing, dammit.
