Premature posting

Okay, I shouldn't post this yet, since I don't actually know for sure, but just between you and me...

I think I got into the University of Toronto again. I haven't gotten a letter from them or anything, so I really can't say for sure. Since I decided yesterday (after talking to the nice Western people on the phone) that I should apply to the University of Western Ontario (in London. Ontario, that is) as well, I was running around requesting transcripts (again). In order to get my University of Toronto transcripts I have to log into their Student information service. So I did this, and suddenly they're asking me to reinstate my PIN number, which is odd, cause they didn't ask me to do that three weeks ago. And then I requested the transcripts but they didn't let me pay by credit card like they did three weeks ago. Now it says the charge "will be added to you student account."

At first I was like, ARE THEY ON CRACK, and I was panicking because I know they won't send the transcripts if I don't pay for them, but then I realized that the School of Graduate Studies must have just reinstsated my student number.

HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Screw it. I'm still applying to Western.

Good Things

Oh it's just a good day in Ivyland. You know, I've made a lot of friends through fandom, which I'm endlessly grateful for, but sadly I've lost a few too. Sometimes I know why and other times it's a mystery to me. Fandom is definitely a strange place, full of weird misunderstandings and miscommunications. But I'm happy to say that, after much strife and a long gulf of silence, the original veelas are starting to float back to each other, reminding us of the reasons why were were friends in the first place, and putting aside our differences.

*hugs kissaki and hautemonde*

It's great to clear the air, and so nice to talk to these two again. Oh happy day. One step closer to world peace.

The Veelainc Famous Last Words Challenge

It's time for another veelainc challenge!

As you know, The Order of the Phoenix is fast approaching, which means new characters, new canon, and another year in the life of our favourite boy hero. So we only have a few weeks left to produce fics that fic into the Harry Potter world as we know it...it's time for our famous last words.

The challenge: below you will find a list of lines. Choose one and write a fic (any rating, and genre, any pairing, any length), with that line as last one. Post your fics to veelainc whenever you're finished (feel free to make use of the beta readers!), and you'll probably want to get it posted before that last fateful day.

'Perhaps I should have asked for petunias,' he said.

He reached toward the Snitch, felt the wings beating against his hand, and waited for impact.

She smiled, closed her eyes and let go of the railing.
