Jun. 3rd, 2003 03:03 pmAges ago I set up a beta list in the hopes of helping out the folks new to the fandom or new to a segment of the fandom to get in touch with someone prepared to beta their fic the way they'd like it betaed.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Well, I still think it's a good idea. God knows I could have used a list like that when I was working on my first fic. But I have no idea how it's working, or if it's working. It has grown large and unwieldy and I'm about to retool the entire thing to make it easier to use. I get lots of requests from people wanting to be on the list, and I've just updated it (again), but I'd really like to know whether it's working or not.
Are you on the beta list? Have you been contacted? Have you betaed for someone who contacted you via the veelainc list? Have you used the beta list to find a beta? How did it go?
