editing...not

The mere idea of editing makes me feel tired, so instead I started writing the sequel to the manuscript that I haven't finished editing yet. That's really bad, isn't it.

BUT IT'S SO FUN.

There are two different kinds of people in the world, I'm convinced; those who hate writing the first draft, and those who LOVE IT. I'm in camp #2, OMG I cannot even express my joy. I'm sitting here, I'm reading over this, I only have 1500 words of chapter one, but I'm so HAAPPEEEE! I don't know what happens next, I don't have to fix mistakes I made three months ago, I don't have to roll my eyes at all the stupid things I thought were a good idea at the time, it's so great! WHEEE!

Of course I still have editing to do and I get so BORED and FRUSTRATED doing that, and I shouldn't even bother writing forward when I can't manage to finish what's already there, but this is just so much more FUN! I'm just, like, jumping around in my seat writing it.

In other news, I just read that Dickens wrote 2,000 words a day. On some level that doesn't seem like THAT much, given that he started at 7am and ended at 2pm. I mean, really. :D Yeah yeah, okay, it's impressive, it is. He was a disciplined man.

I wonder what sort of shipper he would be if he had gotten into HP slash. Hmmm deep thoughts.

Star Wars Kid

Have you seen the Star Wars kid video? This fifteen year old kid video taping himself with a broomstick pretending he's in The Phantom Menace? Or one of the remixes, where people make him a real Jedi or put him in the Matrix? I just read an article about him, apparently he's had a nervous break down. They're not sure when he's going to stop needing psychiatric help.

Poor thing. I mean, he's only fifteen. Can anyone get more embarrassed than a fifteen year old boy? if he were in his 20s he would probably think it was a little funny, if not cool...I mean, in some of the remixes look pretty keen! But this poor guy.

His parents are suing the four kids who put the thing on the internet, too. Wah!
