What follows is a short conversation I had with my friend
balban, who I met in the library science program. She's in my class. I tend not to mention fanfiction or my fandom life with my classmates. You'll notice the shift in tenor and subject matter that I have to deal with when talking to collegues instead of fandom friends, how I have to hide certain elements of my personality. It's like I'm living two different lives, here. How can I possibly maintain this illusion? What if I slip up and out myself as a slasher? Whatever shall I do?

In other news, here's something really cool: Cunnilingus in North Korea: how communism contributes to great sex. No, seriously, this is cool. On so many levels. Marxism versus communism in the bedroom. It's all text and it flashes along to music, it's not porn. You have to read fast, but it's cool.
