Make that ten or eleven in my case. It's all a matter of whether the parent thinks that their child is able to deal with the issue in a film and, if they're particularly thoughtful, whether they'd appreciate it and it's message (in the case of Y Tu Mama Tambien which I happen to love for reasons entirely unrelated to "boy-on-boy" action and would have very likely appreciated at his age.) Dan's parents have never seemed the type to simply allow him to run wild and seem to both have his best interests at heart and genuinely consider what's best for him in situations.
