Wow, buying a house. And I thought looking for a rental was stressful! It sounds really cute though, and if you can afford it and you really like it, go for it! Living in Lindsay, I've seen exactly how much housing has gone up. They extend the 407 to Peterborough and BAM all the GTAers are moving up north where they can live in great big houses and raise their kids without smog and ooooo commute. A small lakeside property is now going for a minimum of $700 000. o.O So yeah, buy now while the going's still good. :) It might seem like a huge risk now, but you can always move later.
