Things to do this afternoon

1. cry that lib is now asleep and has not sent me the next poem for in dialogia, which means that I won't see it for at least another seven or eight hours, and probably much more;

2. design and put up Olympia's website (which, when up, will be here).

3. work out a few things for my funkay original fic. (I need a prophecy. I mean. How touchy.)

4. Figure out what the hell should happen next in Origins.

5. Breathe.

Things done this afternoon

1. cried that lib was not asleep when she should have been, making it even longer until I can talk to her and see when my pome will be forthcoming;

2. designed and put up Olympia's webiste here. Will have to see if she likes it. Also put up an 'about' page for veela-inc, in case anyone stumbles across it by accident. It is a modified version of my manifesto;

3. didn't do anything about the prophecy I need;

4. Didn't figure out what's going on in Origins;

5. Breathed, took a shower, and ate.

Starting to wonder whether I actually like this fandom or not anymore. Must be in a very bitchy mood. Good thing no one has to deal with this at present other than me.

Trailer

Just saw trailer. Laughed very loudly.

Rupert Grint not aging gracefully from what we can tell, but he's just chock-full of personality. Daniel Radcliffe looking better than I expected. Haven't really wanted to admit this until now, as it's no longer true, but I've always thought Daniel Radcliffe was a bit on the homely side. In a nice, sweet, adorable way. I like homely children best, after all. And he was just a little on the homely side. Made me like him more. Really! But this little 6-month-old-puppy look he is currently sporting is working for him. Tom Felton, of course, is blindingly beautiful, as always. I wonder if that's all movie magic or if he really is that beautiful.

What happens to beautiful kids when they grow up? I mean, are beautiful adults necessarily beautiful children as well? Or will Tom Felton get scraggy and worn-looking from standing out in the rain fishing? I guess it remains to be seen. Clearly the duel shots are from early on in filming, because the Draco in these shots doesn't look anything like the Tom Felton who we saw at the DVD release. In that shot with Draco eyeing Ron in class (shut up. SHUT UP!), is that Millicent sitting behind him? God. I love Millicent.

They've done something interesting with Emma Watson's hair. Isn't it still supposed to be bushy? It looks more healthy in the trailer than in the last film, where it looked just teased, really. I see they're going with a bit of curl. She looks just lovely. I'd like her so much more if she weren't such a nag.

Snape looks very OLD and TIRED in this trailer. And yes, that wand-in-the-hair trick is just a very...tender move, is all. I'm sure it's much scarier in the process of the film, but, like, seeing it by itself, it's just kind of..."awww, hi there cutie!" It's just not done very agressively, like, "the famous Harry Potter!" and wrenching his hair aside to see the scar. It's more like, "ooh, I'll just play with your hair a little, you dirty little boy." Dirty as in, he's all covered with dirt (Sheeeesh!)

Very cute trailer. Still makes me laugh. I don't mind dobby, but I think I'm the only one. I'm glad that Dan Radcliffe doesn't have to sit in a closet anymore. Er...I mean, you know, under the stairs.

(All of the Freudian slips in the above entry were accidental, and do no reflect the state of mine of the author. Well, yes they do, but you know what I mean.)

So maybe they're hope for Ron yet. It also seems that they have managed to do something about Tom Felton's teeth, in the end. Smile smile smile. Looks like an orthodontic 'after' picture. Emma Watson looks like she's yawning.
