New York City, and Harry Potter
Nov. 16th, 2002 02:10 pmAfter much hemming and hawing, I did in fact board a bus in Toronto on Thursday morning, and I did, in fact, cross the border in the United States and make my way into New York city. I am fully certain that I have completely lost my mind; why else would I do this? I mean, really. Why else.
Eleven and a half hours.
It was actually pretty nice. I had a seat right up front and had a nice view. I wrote some stuff. I reread chamber of Secrets and boggled at some plot holes that disappointed me. I also chuckled at some bits, particularly..oh, I'll get into that later. Anyway, I arrived in NYC at 8pm and stepped off they bus, and who did I see but...Cassie and Ali, of course!
First impressions? Let me tell you. I know you all want to know. Alison is beautiful. She reminds me very strongly of my second year history professor, who I had a screaming crush on. She is lovely and bubbly and funny as hell. Cassie, also, is gorgeous. Red hair, vacant look, must be a...no no no. Hahahahaaa just kidding. Cassie is unbearably lovely, and as I am still writing this in their basement, I am almost overcome by their mere presence.
Of course, I was a bit surprised when I got to their 'apartment'. It's actually just one room, with a king sized bed in one corner which they share. I just kind of dropped my things in one corner and they told me to hop into bed. Granted, there was room in there, but this just isn't how we do things back in Canada.
Okay, I'm kidding again.
No no, they have a lovely place and I haven't been asked to do anything inappropriate (yet).
( So okay. About the film. )
I am reduced to meaningless H/D grunting at this point.
Went to bed at like, 5am or something ridiculous. Am still in pajamas. Have no idea what I'm doing next. Perhaps see
digikym? I assume I'm going back to Toronto at some point, but not exactly sure how or when.
Am having a fabulous time.
Oh, did I mention that I slept with
ali_wildgoose? Cause I did. MWAH!
