News, updates, and Extracurricular

treehavn is going to Western for the MLIS degree in a couple of months. O_O I will NOT be the only person who knows what HP slash is in my class. I'm so ridiculously excited by this, I can't even express my joy as fully as I would like. I will now do an interpretive dance on this subject.

In other news, I went to visit with my sister and my nephew last night. It was well past X's bedtime, but he didn't mind. He was babbling and giggling and climbing on things. He has this little playskool slide, and while I was there he learned to climb it and slide down it. The first time he did it feet first, but after that he was all about going down head first. That way the drool hits the slide, it just makes things more interesting.
He waves at you and says, "Ha!" This might constitute a first word, but while I was there last night he looked at his cat and said, "Lulu." Which is all the more impressive as it is his cat's name. He also stood up without touching anything for the first time last night. I think he waits until I'm there to do exciting things, he wants to make sure I feel included.
A big thanks to the folks who have given me things recently. You know who you are. I don't, but you do. Thank you.
In still other news,
heinous_bitca reminded me that it's very much beyond time for me to write a sequel to my extremely ridiculous and extremely stupid set of parodies that go under the name 'extracurricular'. Actually, what she said was,
"Ivy, you know, I really wish you'd write some mpreg. I neeeeeed mpreg and there just isn't enough out there. Can you please get to work on that, and paste me all the sordid details?"
My love for
heinous_bitca is extreme, so of course I want to do as she asks.

Good times, good times.
