I haven't friended you, but I really hated calling you a dweeb as I have seen no signs of you being such. Talk about a lack of real life though, I only know about your missing gay and your fandom by looking at someone elses friends postings. I don't even have an online life of my own!!! I don't know what the common courtesy rules are on LJ, but I've never friended anyone without asking first.

A few reasons. I needed a good, intelligent dose of HP fandom on occasion, because even though I don't follow it any more it's fun, and I miss it. You post good, thoughtful stuff. You're funny, and fun. And you also seem to be, of most of the um, "BNF" types in HP fandom, the least given to immature idiocy and stuff. I respect that. :P

I would add my vote here. I originally started lurking around your LJ after stumbling upon your H/D stuff. Eventually I just realized that you're a nifty keen sorta person. I read your LJ so regularly it would be silly not to friend you.

If you're looking for specifics, I'd have to say that I'm really interested by your more serious posts. For example, I thought the whole discussion about molestation and incest was very worthwhile and very revealing.

You're just a cool person. Deal with it.

I have a vague memory of a rant about why it would be better for children to read about love and sex than our society's current diet of death and violence. At least I hope that was you. It was beautiful and I wish I had bookmarked it, 'cause I'm too lazy to go looking for it now.

I have stuck around for the fics and the lost gay and sundry topics. I think the lost gay thread will make a great book someday.
