GUELPH PRIDE

WAHHHH! Today is the Guelph pride picnic! And thankfully, I have my computer back. Though...the repair people kept it for a week, and then appeared to have lost it, and when Apple got on their assses they called me and told me there was nothing wrong with my computer at all.
Which is ironic, since, yanno, there is something wrong with it. I am disgusted.
I took it back from them, even that was a struggle because they said it was "still on the bench" and therefore not properly "signed out".
Me: You said there was nothing wrong with it.
Them: That's right.
Me: Well, I want it back then.
Them: We'll give it to you at 10am tomorrow morning.
Me: Because there's nothing wrong with it, and you need to hold on to it overnight.
Them: You said you would come in at 10am tomorrow morning. (Actually, they said that, and Isilya just said, "Whatever.")
Me: I need it now. (But I was thinking: Yeah, you said you'd look at it a week ago AND that you'd call me LAST FRIDAY with an update, lie #1 and lie #2, so I feel no need to make or keep promises to you, lady.)
Them: *consternation*
Me: *not caring*
It's amazing how just staring at someone long enough will make them give you back your $2000 piece of equipment they can't justify keeping. So anyway, today dawned pretty and warm and sunny, a perfect day for Guelph Pride. We have no idea what's going on today, except that we are meeting a friend of mine and probably his roommate (a nice fellow who has, and I kid you not, an 8x10 autographed glossy of our Honourable Prime Minister Jean Chretien in his bedroom).
isilya wants to bring food, but I'm like, meh. I figure, they should be happy we're showing up. Let them feed us, I say.
We could simply not get a better day.
I had a wild roving HP plotbunny last night and of course I can't remember it now. I will ponder it today and see if I can work it into something interesting by the end of the weekend.
As far as I know me and
isilya are going to be in Toronto on Monday. If anyone is in Toronto and wants to hang out with us, just shout! We're just doing a day trip and other than, like, picking up some stuff from U of T and visiting with my friend
complicittheory we have no plans. I figured SARS-infected Toronto could just entertain us at will.
