I just remembered what I meant to post on my birthday. It was going to go like this: "I'd like to thank my mom and dad, because without them, I wouldn't be here." But I was in too crappy a mood to make crappy jokes.

But on that note, some things I want to say:

Thanks to digikym for cheering me up the other day, to blackholly for letting me prod at her fic, and to her and epicyclical for letting me keep them up way too late, to bonibaru, who calls me and talks to me about dogs and cats and other sundry important things, and whom my ichat seems to hate and is not let me talk to at the moment; thanks to ixchelmala for being prepared to get into my line of fire when I'm in a bitch-ass mood and bailing me out when I get into a serious jam, to nefeleo for telling me secrets and letting me tell her mine, to luciusmalfoy for loving me so darn much, to auntbeast for constantly reminding me that so many things are more important than whatever is up my nose at the time, and to rubydebrazier for distracting me and entertaining me; to isilya for being such a truly great friend, penelope_z for always being herself no matter what, heinous_bitca for technical as well as every other kind of support, complicttheory for always being a great friend and a great guy, starbuckle for all the joy she brings me with her LAUGH, novembersnow for all the BM fics to come and for being such a great person and wonderful friend, to veelainc for being the maw of fic that it is, and to you and you for the birthday wishes. Thanks so much.

My thoughts are with queerasjohn today, as are those of everyone who knows him. Be as strong as you are, my friend.

On a lighter note, I'd also like to thank the band Cake, who are providing the soundtrack for every event of my life via my ipod Stinky. I hadn't heard them before because I have issues with bands whose name is a food. You know, meatloaf, bread, cream, limp bizkit....but I really like Cake. And not only because I am eating a piece of cake as I say so.

ivyivyivyivyivy! i was on the road on your birthday and this is my first foray into lj-land since arriving in noho, and OH MY GOD happy birthday (!!!) i didn't forget: i squee'd about your birthday in the car on 2 august with annelarissa and i made you a b'day present and it's in my car right now and i'll give it to you if i see you next weekend (still don't know if we'll be crashing with you but i promise i'll let you know asap) and if i don't see you i'll pop it in the mail asap from home and ... and ... and. eee (!!!)
