Editing, again

I would just like to take this time to point out that my heart is breaking because I'm deleting yet another entire chapter from my manuscript because I can't figure out what the point of it is. And I suspect I will be deleting at least great chunks of the chapters after this one, too.

WAAHHHHHHHH.

There is no solution to this, I just have to totally rewrite it, and it's my own fault, but I just wanted to whine about it in public. Thanks for your attention.

Edited to add: Okay, I'm done now and it really wasn't as bad as all that. I would like to point out yet again that editing is like gnawing at my own innards and it's just not very comfortable. Whine whine whine.

Id also like to say how strong you are. Id have thrown my own work out before I could even write a paragraph down. Takes a lot to truly write.

Yes, there isn't much more painful for a writer than sacrificing words. This is good, one says to themselves, and it has power, but I can't use it.

Editing SUCKS. Now, I've never edited anything I've wanted published, but I've re-written and edited a massive story before... and you know what? I was so ruddy proud of it... I wanted to change some names and add little details here and there and actually TRY publish it somewhere (very, very, amateur, but somewhere), and IT GOT DELETED! AND I DONT KNOW HOW$!#$@!

So damn, I have come to the conclusion that the more you hate editing/rewriting, save it in many places, because I am paranoid, and holy hell, losing the 'perfectly wonderful edited and rewritten version' SUCKS, and ... yeah.

Er. Went a bit long winded on ya. My bad. :D
