I'm am about 80% finished packing. Geez, that last 20%, can't I just ignore that? I mean, I packed MOST things. 80% is a good grade. Why can't I get away with doing 80% of my packing? I'm sleepy! I'm tired! My bottom hurts! My stomach is upset! WAAAHHH I HATE PACKING.

Why do I have so much stuff? I don't USE this stuff. I don't wear those clothes. Why do I have to pack them? Why does my mother insist on giving me more corningware every 2 months? I mean, now I have an entire BOX dedicated to corningware. My mother is ADDICTED and she is trying to use me as her proxy, it's not fair. I do not feel any tinge of glee when I see corningware, but I think she can't understand that worldview.

I gave my dad my old ABBA gold tape. He's groovin' down now, and I know when he's approaching in his PT cruiser because I can hear the strains of Gimme Gimme Gimme from the parking lot.

Okay back to the freaking packing. Goddammit. ARGH.

Hey you. I'll be in London tomorrow, we should hang out when you get there! I mean, you know, once you settle in and stuff. I'm living, like RIGHT NEXT to middlesex college. Though I'm nervous about my paperwork cause I haven't recieved ANYTHING from them. WAAHH. Good thing I'm about to be there. I'll go waah at them in person.

Nice campus, btw. I've never been on campus at western, but it's really nice. Though the Thames is a little low. ;)

'Lo woman. As soon as I'm more settled in we should look into getting together and hanging out a bit. I'll mail you closer to the time - probably sometime around the next weekend - if that's okay with you?

Still haven't heard anything from Western - I'm just praying they haven't sent my paperwork to England in error. Have you?

RAH! I'm moving apartments today, too. Who knew I had so much crap everywhere?!? Why is everything so heavy? Why won't my shoe rack fit in my car? Why is the new apartment so filthy?

...Err, anyway, I can totally sympathize. ;)

I moved about two weeks ago, so I feel your pain. The first 80% isn’t so bad, but when you get to the odds and ends and stacks of papers and doodads the headache really begins.

Do I need this? Where’d I get that? Why did I get it? What the HELL is this anyway?

Ultimately, it gets tossed into several boxes ambiguously labeled “miscellaneous” to be sorted out "later", but it never does.

Why do I have so much stuff?

This is (one reason) why I want to move overseas...it might make me finally get rid of my grandmother's decorative spatula-and-spoon set (not kidding), the only mildly broken Peruvian pottery statues (not kidding) and the essays from high school (not kidding).
Two cross-country moves have evidently not been enough; I think I need to cross serious water.

now I have an entire BOX dedicated to corningware
Oooh, spare corningware may be sent to ME! Definite twinge of glee here.

I totally sympathize. Good luck with the packing and moving in. I think it's far easier moving out than moving in.

WAAAHHH I HATE PACKING

Thats too bad, because it LOVES you!
(thats what my dad always says, unless its "Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!", no idea why he says that when I say I hate packing, oh well.)

If you listen to fun music while you pack it makes it better....I did a project on that, I helped take apart our kitchen listening to mozart, and put it back together listening to Chicago soundtrack, Chicago definitly better.

A friend of mine is currently in Japan and had to buy two more suitcases on top of her 3 others JUST to get all her souvenirs back here to Canada. *boggle* Poor thing's been packing for a week...and still has four days before she gets home.

So I completely sympathize with all packers everywhere!!! (even though I'm young enough to be able to make my mom do most of mine *evil cackle*)

*hands plushie* There there, feel better.
