Yup, totally feeling the same right now. Got that last paper in this morning and wow, do I feel good. I went outside and flopped in the snow because I was so happy (much to the amusement of my roommate, who stood and laughed at me). Only one 1.5 hour final tomorrow, and then 4 three hours next week. That's it! :D Yay! So close to being done. :D

hey sweetie, i just need to say this (though i'm sure you've heard this 49803481732 times), but i am loving your H/D novels. i just finished Origins and am starting Haven. Origins one of the most poignant stories i've read in a while. both the closet and couch scene did something to me. internally. i can't quite explain it, but it put my mind a bit on tilt. the way you described their closeness, touches, kisses, silent understandings, it's absolutely beautiful. i'm a silly fangirl right now, yes i know. and i'm proud of it. :)

congrats on finishing school for the semester. if only work could be divided into semesters. with loooong breaks. *sigh*

oh - it definitely doesn't "suck ass" as i'm already on chapter 3 and am having a great time! and i'm thrilled i have such a long way to go. if i wasn't sold on h/d before (which i totally am - they are my new religion), you would have wholeheartedly convinced me. :) :)

i'm here as rabid fan girl - i hope you don't mind. i just finished Haven and have so much to say, but don't think i can get all my ideas into a comment post.

here's just a few that are swirling in my head:
1. i loved it. yes, it wasn't neatly knitted together with Origins, so i put that aside and just dove head first into the story - it left me gasping.

2. twice now you have chosen lyrics that have pierced my heart and added such depth to your already gorgeous descriptions and storyline. "Ghost" by Indigo Girls is one of my all time favorite song and represents an important chapter in my life - one that left it's own scar. it was so perfectly timed with chapter 18, "Achilles" and brought the raw angst, want, need, blind desires to a new level. "Until the End of the World" is an unbelievable choice. It framed the entire story perfectly. And to add it at the end, after everything was said and done instead of weaving it into a chapter, was brilliant.

3. re: "Until the End of the World" - was the song a muse for the story or a choice afterwards? I'm curious as it seems so literal - such a strong framework. either way, it was an excellent choice. it's such a chilling song.

4. one a separate note, i find it compelling that you (and a couple of others) are putting draco through his own test of wills, punishments, tortures, if only to allow him to transcend. it's like he enters a cocoon, transitions and comes out a butterfly - but not without facing countless tortures and potential death. I also think it humbles him, opens his eyes to another reality, one which doesn’t contain his father, greed, corruption, murder, but instead endless love, warmth, support. his talk about the inevitable path he must follow is put to the test and, even at the last minute, he swells against it – emotionally, mentally and, finally, physically. His body, though a bit worse for wear, still survives. And then he opens his eyes and blossoms into who he is supposed to be.
