Wireless!

My brother-in-law gave me a wireless card today.

Of course, this is probably just to make up for the fact that I've already put in 14 hours of babysitting. Keeping in mind that I've only been home 24 hours. And we're not counting the 9 hours I'll be putting in tomorrow.

But still. I'm wireless. w000t! Watch me go! If only one of my parents' neighbours has a wireless network I could scam off...

Oh AND. treehavn, this means we can IM people while we're in Academic Libraries class. Also: from the grad club. Yo. This means that dreaded management class is going to be a lot less boring. Why didn't I have one of these for fall term?

How can someone so very young write so well?

I am ever so envious of your possible position with the library (yes, we ARE in the minority in our our excitement in this (and I'm remarking on a prior LJ entry). My experience with nepotism ended up with working in film editing in my 20's, which was enjoyable, for a time. (What a lifelong difference when one lives in L.A..)

Will you still be doing chapters for "Quiescent"? How do you understand so well how Draco feels and what he's been through? I find this interesting. (No, I'm not one of those strange ones, just curious. Have known friends that have gone through instances much like his, and they're still quite scarred.) I so love your writing; you are wise beyond your years. I long to read more. Happy holidays! ;)

I can't tell you how much I appreciate being called young. That never happens to me anymore, I live with 17 and 18 year olds and I work with 19 and 20 year olds. My grand age is pointed out so regularly.

As for Quiescent, I think I will. I wasn't sure for a while, because...well, because to be honest I'm scamming a lot of ideas for an original story, but I think at this point that story has grown into something else, so perhaps I can write Quiescent as fanfiction. Thanks for asking, I know I've been avoiding it like mad.

As for Draco...well. I don't have much personal experience with being in his shoes, but like you I know a lot of people who have. Mostly I just spend lots of time thinking about what he's thinking about and reading up on people in similar circumstances. Also, talking to people has been very helpful for me. I'm glad he's a character that seems to work for you.

You know, there may be one set up that you could look at and see if it's live and open... not that I'm suggesting anything illegal... but if you wanted to see if there were any open networks you could just look in the Airport menulet and see what else is listed. This is what it looks like for me:

Aw well next time! I actually sent an email to my current neighbor telling his network is wide open, but as you can see it's still there and I have to direct my bro, when he visits, to make sure he selects mine network.

Have you looked here (http://www.wififreespot.com/can.html) There are lots of directories like that one with loads of info on who has what and are legal.
