These are beautiful. They make me homesick for that area.

I'd heard of the tides in the Bay of Fundy for my entire life, so I was thrilled to be able to visit a few years ago. Nothing had prepared me for the incredible red mud flats at low tide.

ah, the annapolis valley.
i'm from nova scotia, and these made me a little bit homesick. what were you up to at acadia and/or wolfville?
are the apples in bloom yet? i suspect it's still a bit early for that. i hope the weather was ok, it's notoriously unreliable.

No apples. :) Spring came to souther Ontario much sooner than it did to the Annapolis valley, I'll tell you that. I'm here for a conference, actually, I knew it was coming up but I was so busy doing other things right up until the day before we left that I barely bothered to play attention to the flight plans let alone the conference itself, so here I am, all out of sorts. :) Nice place, though!

So. Awesome. It's like you've been doing this stuff since forever. I love that bay and the lights through the window.

I really, really liked Nova Scotia - I think your clan should move there en masse (think! the cheapish housing!). I think you should move to Lunenberg (http://www.town.lunenburg.ns.ca/) in fact. And how huge is that house in your seventh picture down?!

I KNOW. All I need in a little tiny place for little me (and a wireless network). That's it! That's all! Let it not be said that the Acadia people were not sniffing around me talking about maybe a systems position, or anything. Because they kind of were. This trip may have just underscored for me that I cannot afford to live in my current location. I was looking at a condo a couple of weeks ago that was 179,9 for 2 bedrooms. A condo, I'm talking about. And that was a good price. Here 179,9 would buy the most fantastic house around. Though I bet the salary drops as well, so there's that to consider.

I love my job (usually), but shit. I'm going to have to get you to hook me up with someone just so I can afford a decent place to live.

Heh and *you're* lucky Canada Girl. In my neighbourhood - which is not particularly swish and not at all central - the average cost of a property is $476,290 CDN. I've kinda resigned myself to never owning a house. I don't know how other people manage.

Your pictures always have a theme:

White houses
Churches
Sky
Leaves
Mud
Windows

And that's pretty much it LOL
