Home from the Sco'sh (Nova Scotia, if you're unfamiliar with my new habit of renaming places that already have perfectly nice names). Am exhausted. It's 6:30 but I want to go to bed right now. I missed my bed. Mmmm bed. I had hot dogs with mustard for dinner. Because that's what I was craving. Don't judge me! It's been a very demanding week. People wanting to talk about nothing all the time exhaust me. People are energy vampires, I tell you. They DRAIN ME!

I have decided that I may have to move to Nova Scotia in order to buy a house. In my fantasy world, I buy a nice little house, a nice big dog, a nice little vespa, and a nice little wireless router. And I go to the farmer's market every Saturday for bread and vegetables, and I take long walks along the water. I work at a nice little library, helping all the nice students and tinkering with the nice hardware, write some nice software, and write nice stories in my spare time. And in fantasy land, there is great joy. Also, niceness.

I enjoy flying, but it hurts my ears on the way down. Pop pop pop. Squelch.

So. Tired. OMG.

YES. YES there is! The houses are so cheap in fantasy land, we can get a BIG one!

Maybe an early stone house in a river valley near a live-steam tourist railroad, if there is one there. Old-growth trees. Garden. Otherwise, much like yours!

The nice little wireless router was a nice touch. :-)

If you move to Nova Scotia, I'll come visit more often. :)

I love your nice little fantasy. But in my earth bound mind, reality always rears its ugly head. Wouldn't that nice little Vespa be a little chilly about 10 months out of the year? How about a nice little Toyota Corolla. Totddles off to dream of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island...

You have just put my dreams into words (except I will not be working at a library and instead in a dusty corner of some under funded community centre or some such location). so, if you buy a house with a furnished basement can I be your boarder? I am quiet, enjoy gardening and reading and making people laugh. COME ON!!
Did you go for ice cream at hennigar's fruit stand? oh mY... OH MY.............*drool*

You've pretty much got my dreams there too; only mine's a cat, not a dog, and it's a hospital not a library. But hey :-)

You amuse me - you seem so innocuous, yet so subversive between the lines. Kudos to you, my dear...kudos indeed. *g*

Airplanes make my joints ache, and my bigger blood vessels hurt. I felt like I was going to get off that airplane with huge numbers of bruises and a burst aortic veiny-thing.
Trans-atlantic flights are not my bag, yo.

I've always wanted to live in the house and town where I grew up, only instead of Ann Arbor being in Michigan, I'd want it to be somewhere without a declining, crappy, automobile based economy. Like, Ann Arbor, Massachusets. Or Ann Arbor, Maryland. Because Ann Arbor is pretty much perfect for me, except for the location. Ann Arbor, Nova Scotia? Heehee.
