The University of Toronto, with a view of some little tower or something in the distance.

Stained glass window

Faces on the wall

Rotunda. I like this one because you can see the sky reflected in the windows. I like sky. And windows.

Ivy on a wall. This shows you how far along spring is in Toronto. And yes, there's a window. As I said, I like windows.

Windows open, because it was a nice day. Before the thunderstorm hit, that is.

University college entrance. This was built back in the days when looking old and impressive was a high priority.

The front foyer of University College, in gold.

There were so many windows I could fit in this shot, I couldn't resist.

A bricked up window, with ivy. I liked how we're seeing underneath all the leaves.

Framed!

Well, yes. I'm aware of that, actually. That was a joke. People keep visiting me from far-flung places and not knowing what it is, hence the joke.

Me too! There are tons of stained glass windows in that building, but most of my pictures of them came out quite over exposed, sadly.

Oh, windows!

My favourite. So beautiful and intriguing with soft curves, arcs and straight lines, and the colours and light...

I love the bricked-up window underneath the leaves, too.

Thank you for posting!

Hey, thanks for looking! I should have took more pictures later in the day when the sky opened up and we had a monstrous and unexpected (to me) thunderstorm. But I took these in the morning rather than going to an overly-technical conference session.

Nice windows. Is that the building I made you kindof sortof break into (or at least enter without a sensible purpose) because I'd mistaken it for a Guy Gavriel Kay location?

Did we break into UC? I don't remember! The one beside Hart House? It's too early in the morning for me. I think it is. The one with the dragon carved into the banister?

Why, thank you! I like this hobby; I don't have to actually create the things, I just have to notice them! Fun!

I've been taking pictures, too. I'm really liking the cemetery that borders our campus.

Beyond that, I'm good. Waiting (im)patiently for the surgery to happen. I feel like my summer is on hold until that's over, because it's still not scheduled and I don't want to make plans and then have to break them. And I'm still job hunting.

But I'm reading more, spending a lot of time with my family, and going outside and stuff. I'm feeling really good about life.

You?

And I have an enormous weakness for spiral staircases, so that photo is all sorts of thrilling. :)

I love your picspam posts. ♥

Some day I /will/ be enrolled in the FIS program at UofT...

I hope.

I figure if I work really hard, and get enough library/archival experience I might have a chance.

Oh dreams of pretty campus life.

I don't think it's that hard to get in, actually. Have you tried?

I still have two years of undergraduate work to do... so no trying for me yet.

I guess it won't seem too hard after I finish this degree, but I'm still not there yet. :) I guess I stress at work to come...

I'm living in Toronto this summer, working at the Archives of Ontario, so that's exciting enough to make me feel like I'm still moving forward.

Oh sorry, I should have checked your info page before I asked. Don't worry! You'll be fine. And: since people with degrees in the sciences rarely go into librarianship, you'll be much sought-after! If you're interested in being an academic librarian, you might want to get a second master's degree too, in something you enjoy. But you can do that later if you really want to.

Cheers!
