You know those people, the ones you've never met face to face (yet), but you feel like you have? Those people who always say something so smart and so spot on that it changes the way you look at things? Those people whose lj entries you look forward to and read a little more carefully, even when you thought you were just skimming your flist? Those people who are so easy to love, your heart just fills up for them after a few exchanges? You'd think the lack of face-to-face would create a certain kind of disconnect, but it doesn't always, not with these people. With some people, people who are amazing writers who can express in this medium more than you'd think words could, for those people, written communication is enough to make it as real as anything "in real life". Enough to make your heart break when they're hurting. Enough to bring you to tears when you find out how they're suffering and just how helpless you are in the face of it.

Yeah, those people.

Those people are awesome.

:( Yes, they are.

You're one of them for me. I'm sorry you're feeling sad, and truly sorry that someone you care for is hurt.

Awww that's really sweet of you. I guess there are ups and downs on this livejournal thing. I'm constantly impressed by how well we get to know each other through it.

*loves*

This testimonial to the dear friends we make on LJ was beautifully written. Nicely done.

I hope the one you care so much about feels better soon. It must feel so frustrating to know there is nothing you can do to help.

I do believe I know of whom you speak.

And it breaks my heart as well. :(

No idea who you're talking about, but I hope all works itself out. (And let me know if I can do anything to help, k?)

PS: You're like that for me.

People being awesome doesn't negate my sadness when they're hurting.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things start looking up.

I always enjoy reading your entries. The writing ones especially, have been of immense help.

Meh. Love you. :::offers clueless but heartfelt hugs:::

Unrelated, I'm listening to Karen Armstrong's The Spiral Staircase whilst commuting. I find it puts me in a rather mellow and contemplative frame of mind.

"those people" make me feel that, if i were to ever meet someone offline, maybe it wouldn't be so crazy.
