I'm never gonna get good at this

I have my regular yearly check in with my endocrinologist next week, so last week I picked up my requisition and got some blood drawn. (Still have the bruise.) This is something I will do every year for the rest of my life. This morning I got a call from my GP's office. He wants to see me "ASAP" about my latest blood test. I explained that the test was ordered by my endocrinologist and I am seeing her next week, but he wants to see me tomorrow.

Why?

I have no idea. Of course they won't give me any clues over the phone, except to say that it's about the one blood test I do every year to monitor whether my thyroid cancer has returned. I kind of hate them for not telling me. I presume that this isn't about the cancer and is in fact about my meds and the fact they the dose is probably too high (I've lost weight). Presumably. My GP is a really nice guy and I appreciate that he wants to do right by me, but this has kind of freaked me out.

I wonder if you ever get good at living with anxiety. Something tells me I'm going to get a chance to test that theory.

Wtf, why can't they just tell you over the phone? This shit is ridiculous. I don't have a clue what could possibly be so urgent.

I'll try to get online tonight. I'll be biting my nails over this. Wtf wtf wtf.

I'm sure it's probably nothing serious. My GP is very nice and he's probably just trying to be helpful. I mean, when I got the questionable biopsy results back the second time, my endo's office didn't even call me, I had to learn the news from him while seeing him for something else. He might just be making sure that doesn't happen again.

But they will NEVER tell me anything over the phone.

Obviously something's awry, but hopefully just high free T4, right? I'm not sure a GP even knows how to read thyroglobulin. It can't possibly be TSH. It's just annoying when they don't tell you and make you sit around and wait for it. My day was largely shot. O_O

Yeah. Waiting in fear is fucking debilitating. But I bet it's your t4, since there's no immediate/next day rush to see a doc if the tg is climbing, but if your t4 is gonna give you a heart attack or whatever I can see urgency being important?

Anyway i hope it's just t4. Thinking of you.

I checked my BP tonight: 128/80. No real cause for concern there. :/ <3 I'm fine, we can do this. :)
